The third story does not have nearly as happy an ending as the two stories previously sent. A team working in extreme northern China, where the temps were often well below zero, came to their last distribution point with over a thousand Bibles only to find 3,000 people waiting at the church for a Bible. No one had expected this kind of crowd but word of the Bible distribution had gotten out. People all over this area place such a high value on God’s Word that they were willing to make great personal sacrifice in terrible weather conditions just for a chance to receive a Bible. Seeing the bitter disappointment of the believers when the supply of Bibles ran out broke the team’s heart. It would be difficult for most of us to imagine the sense of loss of those who returned home without a Bible.

There are several ways you can become involved in placing Bibles in rural China:
1. You can be part of a distribution team that verifies delivery and celebrates with local believers.
2. You could represent Bibles for China in your church for an offering, or as a VBS or mission’s project.
3. You can start a local prayer team that will pray for believers in China and Bibles for China.
4. Through your financial support – For just $30.00 per month you will put six Bibles into China each month. With the current Bible for Bible match, your gift of 6 Bibles becomes 12.

A second story came from a team member distributing Bibles on an island off the coast of China. While attending a worship service on Sunday morning in a Chinese church with the BFC team she met a woman who was visiting the church. Through the interpreter she was able to share the Gospel message and be a part in bringing this  woman into a personal relationship with Jesus.What a blessing that this new believer was able to begin her walk with Christ with her very own copy of the Bible. “If we will only show up, God has ministry for us, even beyond the Bibles we are here to distribute.”

We would like to show you exactly how it is possible to do our work, thanks to your on-going support.

If we were to try to bring Bibles into China, it would be illegal and very unwise.  The Chinese government has an “approved” printing house, which happens to be the largest Bible printing house in the world:  AMITY PRINTING COMPANY.  When we receive donations, we are able to purchase the Bibles printed here and deliver them to rural Chinese Christians legally and openly who desperately need and want them.

This has to have been the best Chinese vocal session we have ever had in the studio. So much laughter, tears and awesome worship. Each morning began with a time of worship before recording. Sometimes we just sat in studio as Francy played the keyboards. Once again, there was so little difference between the worship time and the actual recording except for my verbal promptings, ‘…sounds great, lets do it one more time..

Thanks to Danny my friend who organized some of the best singers in Taiwan, not only for their gifting but their commitment to raising the ‘banner of excellence’ in worship. Though each studio day goes by so quickly and can be intense, these days were a little different. The hours swept by quickly only because we were so enjoying our time together and the singers were recording at such a rapid pace.

Now, when it came to our meal times – jokes – I did not know I could eat so often and so much!! All being said, all healthy meals. A wonderful opportunity to practice using chopsticks! I have a picture which I will not release on this blog with a singer singing in the studio with chopsticks in her hands

The title of the album has now been changed to ‘I am Jealous for you’ a really apt title may I add. A stark reminder that God is so passionate about our worship, time, commitment to His Kingdom and the excellence of worship we bring before him. Thank you team for reminding me how important it is to put God first in everything we do INCLUDING our times of ’sung worship’.

On 11th July, Paul & Francy arrived in UK from Israel to start pre-production on the album titled, ‘I am Jealous for Zion’. Once again, Francy has been writing some great songs from their base in Israel.

This album will wants again focus on Israel and the end time harvest. As per usual, there was so much laughter, good food and seeking the Father’s heart for the right sounds, moments and sensitivities.

Throughout the last two weeks in August, my musicians in the UK, Andrew Small, Dan Wheeler and Mark Prentice are now laying down the rhythm tracks based on all the midi files.

We will keep up updated as we work through the various phases of the recording. The next stop is Taiwan, where we will record the vocals.
