August 10th, 2009 was the best day of all days recording Velveta’s voice on our new album for China! Though it was quite a long day, I am so privileged to have recorded one of the most anointed singers I have ever produced. Biased – NO!! There is just something about Vel’s voice that takes you on an unusual journey!
With so little effort, we sailed through the songs capturing several vocal takes. I know we will have to do lots of editing, but this is all part of modern day recording. Capturing all the best performances and editing all the best lines!
There was a wonderful sense of completion as Vel recorded the last song for the session; interestingly, the first song that we ever wrote together since being married! ‘We Lift Our Hands To Worship You’ Vel special indeed!
