Today, 8th August – the day many have been anticipating! Vel and I finally arrived at ICC studios in Eastbourne. This will be the day of the ‘All Voices Choir’ recording three songs on the ‘Seeds For Change – China’ album. The main song is called ‘Increase in Me’ – an anthem which Velveta, Andy Mitchell and myself wrote about 10 years ago, whilst being at Abundant Life Centre, Bradford.
As the singers arrived at the studio, there was an awesome presence and anticipation. A few choir members brought their children with them to the studio (as we always do). Esther our youngest bonded very quickly with our good friends Dave & Donna’s children (see pictures).
Our assistant for the day, Yasmin Malik immediately got to work setting up the food and drink station (and what a spread that was) for the choir members. We wanted to ensure each member was really looked after throughout the day.
The first thing on the agenda was to meet in the studio and share the vision of ‘Seeds For Change – China’. As Vel and I shared, you could sense the singers were digesting the magnitude of this project – the first main project for Beracah International Mission. We knew the day was going to be awesome.
As we worked through each song, almost every 20 minutes, Vel and I glanced at each other, amazed at the quality of sound the members of the choir were emanating – though this was the first time many had even met, never mind sang together! As they sang, ‘Increase in me’ all I could imagine was our Chinese brothers and sisters listening to these many singers, from across the waters, singing a song of blessing and prayer over them; a prayer that God would ‘ignite our passion for the lost…’.
(Whilst recording, one of the singers, ‘Grace’ had a special word for us, I think I may get her to relay these words as it will be a blessing for others as it was/is for Vel and myself).
Towards the end of the recording, we did a conference Skype call to LA with Francy Yeh (Co-Director of MOMH). It was important for the singers to make connection with the organization who are so ‘responsible’ for this new phase in Vel and my life and our ministry. They also ‘blame’ us for the change in their ministry. God is great and awesome!
This is a day that will not be forgotten for a while!
All Voices Choir recording session at ICC Studios

Setting off early for our trip to Eastbourne we were keen to nail our parts before we got to the studios.
Working alongside Steve and Velveta on this project was such an awesome priveledge not only because they are good friends with big hearts but because of their deep love of the Lord which is so evident. Steve is such an amazingly gifted songwriter and Lauwrence probably the best choir director ever.
It was also astonishing to find such unity in a choir that comprised of singers from different churches who had never met prior to this recording session. The sound was awesome and the presence of the Holy Spirit tangible.
I truly believe this album will inspire, lift, strengthen and even heal and bring about salvation for thousands throughout China.
All my love in Jesus,
Peter
We were really blessed recording the tracks we trust that the tracks will be a blessing to everyone in China who hears them.
May God bless bless you all in all that you do
Dear All,
I was truly blessed and felt that it was an honour being part of this wonderful move of God in August 2009. As we were all rehearsing, recording and praying I felt an incredible presence of God as the songs were being sung.
The Lord showed me a clear vision of the words of the songs that were being sung running over the waters of the world exploding and making an impact and breaking the ground of China. The words were breaking the foundations of China, God’s words was breaking chains, releasing lives and bringing change.
He (God) who began a good work in this ministry is able to bring completion, this is truly exciting times.
God bless
Grace
